New Roots was created to support people in addiction recovery

Volunteers can enhance their recovery with work experience, life skills, community inclusion and the many health benefits from working outdoors.

The therapeutic value of working outdoors in gardens is well established. Having a regular routine, gaining new skills and experiencing job satisfaction are all contributing factors for a successful and continuous recovery journey.

We have noticed our volunteers grow in confidence, improve their general well being and develop better friends and family relationships.

A written work experience reference will be given to volunteers for future employment or personal identity needs.

New Roots is currently seeking volunteers who want to experience gardening, in a supported, safe environment.
